| The center of the teaching and preaching
ministry of Jesus, as he lived among us, "full of grace and truth," is found in
the Sermon on the Mount, beginning with the Beatitudes. (Matthew 5:1-12). In the
Beatitudes the life which Jesus calls us to lead is given its clearest, most dynamic
expression. Truly this is a "blessed" life we are given, and in the Beatitudes
we find the heart of the teaching of Jesus. In the window, Jesus is surrounded by men and
women of faith, gathered at his feet, as he points to his heavenly Father.
